Oti Mabuse has announced that she will be leaving her role as a professional partner on the BBC’s prom serious TV show
Oti Mabuse will leave the serious side when it comes to dancing.
The professional performer has decided to leave the hit BBC series after seven years.
The much-loved Oti announced the news on Instagram on Tuesday and explained that she will always cherish the friends she made on the show.
“It’s never easy to say goodbye I’ve been part of the best TV show, Seriously come to dance for the past seven years and it’s been an incredible time. Lift the glitter ball twice and have the most amazing journey with all my celebs, but also meet and work with the team, crew, producers, celebrities and dancers. The most amazing professional!
“You guys are my family and I love you all forever. Thank you @sarahjamesface @ jack.will.g and @jasongilkison for truly believing in me.”
Sharing how grateful she is for the series, she added: “I am truly grateful to the BBC and will always remember that Seriously and the BBC brought me to the UK – which I now call home and I have learned and grown a lot – Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
“I can’t put into words how difficult this decision has been, but I’ve decided not to come back for the next series.
“Dance will forever be my first love and to everyone, especially my family, friends, serious fans and judges who have supported me throughout my rigorous journey. mine, thank you for being awesome! You are irreplaceable in my heart and make every day unforgettable! I love you.”
She concluded the post: “I will always keep Keeeep Dancing! And I will never forget my amazing Seriously experience! Lots of Oti xxx love.”
The sensational dancer illustrated the post with a few brief moments of herself on the show along with all the famous faces she has collaborated with since joining the show for the 13 series.
Footage shows her on the dance floor with Ugo Monye, Anthony Ogogo, Danny Mac, Jonnie Peacock, Graeme Swann, Kelvin Fletcher and Bill Bailey.
Under the announcement, some of Oti’s co-stars seriously sent her wishes for good health.
Graziano Di Prima wrote: “My friend!! I will miss you so much!! You are a star, my dear!! I am so honored to share the stage with you!!”
Giovanni Pernice added: “Good luck to the future queen.”
Oti’s sister Motsi, a judge on Serious, wrote: “It’s time to fly daughter! I’m so proud of you fearless, courageous and looking forward to seeing your dreams come true. real.”
Luba Mushtuk joins: “All the luck in the world will come to you in the next chapter! Will miss you so much.”
After Oti’s Instagram post, Sarah James, Executive Producer of Serious Come Dance said: “Oti has been a really great part of Serious for the past seven years.
“Her energy, creativity, and talent have contributed to many of the show’s most memorable moments, and she will be sorely missed, not just by the viewers, but by the entire team.
“She left a dazzling legacy behind, being the only professional dancer to win the Glitterball Trophy two years in a row.
“We couldn’t be more proud of Oti and what she’s achieved on the show. She will always be the heart of our Strict family and we wish her every success in her inherent future. her bright.”
