Romeo and Duet Viewers Call for Oti Mabuse’s Return to Serious

Oti Mabuse, a former professional actress of the serious group Come Dancing, has hinted that she could make an impressive comeback and return to the show in the future.

Oti, 31, left the BBC show just ten weeks ago after seven years together, during which she twice lifted the glittering trophy.

In an interview, the South African said: “Seriousness is everything to me and has given me the great foundation that I have.

“No, I’m not done. It still has a place in my heart.”

The star’s comments went hot following news that her new show, ITV’s Romeo and Duet, drew just 1.6 million viewers in Saturday’s prime time slot – well below the 11 million figure. which she watched on Serious.

One disgruntled fan on Twitter said: ” @OtiMabuse please come back @bbcstrictly #romeoandduet Totally trash! It’s dire! ”

Another asked: ” @itv What to do with @OtiMabuse she deserves so much more than #romeoandduetWhat did you think then?”

A third, meanwhile, added: “I can’t help but feel @ITV are missing the mark with the formats of some new programs, for example: #romeoandduet #Starstruck.

Announcing her departure on her Instagram account on February 22, Oti said: “It’s never been easy to say goodbye. I was on the most amazing TV show, seriously coming. dancing for the past seven years and it’s been an incredible time.”

“Raise the glitter ball twice and have the most amazing journey with all of my celebs, but also get to meet and work with the team, the crew, the producers, the celebs and the most incredible professional dancers you are my family and I love you all forever Thank you @sarahjamesface @ jack.will.g and @jasongilkison for really believing in me.

“Honestly, I am very grateful to the BBC and will always remember that. It is impossible to put into words how difficult this decision has been, but I have decided not to come back for the next series.
