Oti Mabuse’s new ITV dating show Romeo and Duet has viewers divided as the Serious star makes her debut.
The former professional dancer of Serious Come Dancing – who recently quit the dance show to focus on other work endeavors – is back at ITV, fresh from her spot on the Dancing On Ice board, for her new singing and dating show.
It made its debut on ITV this evening, with Oti leading in a stunning red dress as she strives to help soloists find love through the medium of the song, with fans took to Twitter to give their verdict on the new show.

“This #romeoandduet reminds me of a part #Dating Anonymous and a part #TheMaskedSinger. I love it! Love @OtiMabuse like a presenter! She is definitely doing a great job @ITV“, one viewer shared online.
A second added: “I had high hopes for this because I love Oti, but she should really say no to this show #romeoandduet. ”

The show marks Oti’s presentation debut after she decided to give up Serious.
“This is my first time hosting a show in front of a live studio audience. It’s the best feeling. They’re so excited to be there. They can’t wait. The audience is a big part of it. importance of the show because they say, ‘Go down!’ because they can see both of them – either they’re like ‘Stay where you are’, or they’re confused. And when you’re performing your duet, they’re voting. otherwise, they became my co-stars. It was so special and amazing,” she said.
Oti explained that organizing the show was difficult, but she enjoyed the “wonderful” experience.

She added: “I love Romeo & Duet. When I present or host, I always want something where I can connect with people, communicate and get to know them. I get connected. with them and that’s what I really want.
“It was a great experience. I also love asking the contestants questions, when they come down and say, ‘Why don’t you come down?’ or “Do you regret it…”. Read the links and try to be whole, focused and not seem like you’re being too stressed. I love everything about it. I’m happy to go home every night. after every show.”
