Ukraine: London protesters express anger over invasion
Amanda Owen has sympathized with Ukrainian citizens at stake after three warplanes ‘broken the peace’ as she worked on her Yorkshire farm.
The 46-year-old Our Yorkshire Farm star has said it’s ‘sobering’ to think about what Ukrainians are going through as she looks after her sheep.
The breakout star of the Channel 5 documentary series said the sound of the jet immediately reminded her of what was happening in Eastern Europe.
While in the field of Ravenseat Ranch, mother of nine Amanda posted a photo of her dog in black and white with the area around them covered in snow.

Captioning the snaps, Amanda wrote: “Picking up [three sheep emojis].
“Quietly going about our business when the peace is broken by 3 fighter planes overhead.
“A moment of sobriety, when the Ukrainian people, like all of us, just days ago were simply about their daily lives and now are under attack. #war #unthinkable ”
Over the past few days, Amanda has also shared about the extreme conditions she has had to work with while keeping her flock under control.
She posted a video of herself as she pulled her hood over her face with snow swirling across the sky.

This also means her connection to the world outside of Ravenseat is disrupted, meaning she can’t update her fans on social media for 24 hours.
Amanda wrote alongside the video: “Weather related issues. *Lost Internet connection yesterday but back online today*”
The shepherd then followed this up with a series of photos showing her shepherd dog fighting in a blizzard while her sheep huddled in the blizzard.
She also shared a photo of one of her sons in the snow, along with the caption: “Plunge into the storm.”
Her followers urged her and her children to “stay safe”, many commenting with their concern for the family as they continue to work through the blizzard conditions.
