Over 100 cannabis plants found on St Leonards property
Police have arrested a man after a raid found more than 100 cannabis plants.
They searched an address on Harbor Way, St. Leonards, and found 104 plants in the living room and bedrooms.
Tactical Enforcement Unit officers executed the warrant after suspicious activity was reported by members of the public.
A 20-year-old man from St Leonards has been arrested on suspicion of manufacturing a Class B controlled drug.
Neighborhood Police Sergeant Rob Hanson said: “Cannabis is a harmful, prohibited substance and its cultivation, sale and distribution brings crime to an area.
“It can lead to more serious crimes and is associated with violence, exploitation and addiction, sowing devastation in our communities.
“This operation proves that we will continue to be relentless in pursuing perpetrators as we work with our partners to address the root causes of this behavior and protect those most at risk of harm.”
The man was released on unconditional bail until March 6 pending further investigation.
