Over 2,000 Dublin residents affected by power outage

Over 2,000 residents in a community in south Dublin are currently experiencing a power outage.

SB Networks has reported an error in Kimmage as part of its “PowerCheck” service on its website.

The electric company apologized for the inconvenience and said about 2,881 customers are currently affected by the outage.

An online statement said: “We apologize for the lack of delivery. We are currently working to resolve an issue affecting your premises and will restore power as soon as possible.”

The outage was reported at 5:30 p.m. and the estimated recovery time is 7:45 p.m.

A number of people with power issues took to social media tonight.

A Twitter user said: “There is an outage at Templeogue. Will this bug be fixed? When will power be restored?”

Another said: “Power outage at Cypress Downs, Templeogue, Dublin.”

Another wrote: “I’m having some technical difficulties at the moment, is there a power outage in Templelog?”

Meanwhile, another said: “All of Orwell is out. Also parts of the estate.”
