THE magic shop owner is ready to launch his own magical spirit.
Wizard’s Gold, an all-natural vanilla schnapps from Madagascar infused with 23-carat gold, promises to be “delicious, golden and certainly not boring”.
Oliver Dall, owner of award-winning magic shop Oliver’s Brighton on Trafalgar Street and creator of the new drink, said: “The idea came to me when I was getting an alcohol license and I was thinking about what magical drinks I could sell in my shop I thought why am I using.” not the opportunity to make my own.
“After calling about a dozen local distilleries, one loved the sound of my idea.
“I always find that when you’re drinking with friends, co-workers or anyone else, someone waddles over with a tray of liquor – I wanted a liquor that was something unusual and unfamiliar and that surprised you at how rich it tasted.”
The drink uses only natural ingredients, with the spirit being distilled and bottled in the UK.
Social posts teasing Wizard’s Gold feature an ouroboros — an ancient symbol of a serpent or serpent eating its tail, used to denote infinity and the cycle of birth and death.
Another post on the brand’s Instagram account shows a sample box for the new product, whose packaging is 100 percent recyclable.
The 18 percent ABV drink is slated to launch later this winter.
