Ozzy Osbourne: I’m not fit enough for tour days after extensive surgery’
Ozzy Osbourne has said that after extensive spinal surgery he is not “physically able” to do his tour dates in Europe and the UK.
He, the 74-year-old former Black Sabbath singer, fell at his home in 2019, making his injuries worse after a near-fatal quad bike crash in 2003.
He told his fans on Instagram on Wednesday: “This is probably one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to share with my loyal fans.
“As you may know, four years ago this month, I had a serious accident that damaged my spine. My only purpose for the time being is to get back on stage.”
Osbourne said his voice is “fine” but after three surgeries, stem cell treatments, physical therapy sessions and Cybernics Treatment (HAL), his body “remains weak” “.
He added: “Honestly, I am humbled by how patiently all of you have kept your tickets all this time, but with all clear conscience I now realize that I am not physically able to attend the upcoming European tournament. /day touring in the UK, as I know I cannot handle the necessary trips.”
Osbourne continued: “I never imagined my touring days would end this way.
“My team is currently brainstorming where I can perform without having to move from city to city and country to country.”
He also thanked the fans, crew, family and Judas Priest band “for their endless dedication, loyalty and support”.
