Ozzy Osbourne is set to renew his vows with his wife Sharon after undergoing life-changing surgery

Black Sabbath legend Ozzy Osbourne was unable to walk or stand for a long time and underwent neck and back surgery on Monday. His friends now say he wants to say yes again

Ozzy Osbourne promises to recover from life-changing surgery by renewing his marriage vows to his wife Sharon.

Unable to walk or stand for a long time, the 73-year-old Black Sabbath legend underwent neck and back surgery on Monday.

Sharon, 69, flew back to Los Angeles to support the rocker.

But despite his health concerns and mobility issues, friends say he wants to go to great lengths to get back vows and they could travel to Maui to celebrate 40 years of marriage.

They first exchanged vows on the Hawaiian island in July 1982.

Ozzy had the surgery postponed due to Covid and his wife’s departure for London to work.

A friend of the couple said: “Ozzy may have been waiting for his neck and back to be fixed after extensive leg pain which has left him unable to walk for a long time.

“But while that was his hope, he always wants to treat Sharon to something special on her 40th.

“They renewed their vows in Vegas, but he was hoping to fly her to Maui for a break to commemorate their big day.

“He hopes his recovery will be short and nerve damage cleared up so he can treat his wife.

“Ozzy may have been through the mills in recent years, but his spirit and desire to show Sharon just how bright their love burns remain.”

The couple previously renewed their vows in Las Vegas in 2017 after it was revealed Ozzy had cheated on Sharon. At the time, he said: “For me, it was actually our real wedding day.

“That’s the one I’ll remember.

“Sharon and I have been through so much, and this really feels like a fresh start.”

They split shortly after 33 years of marriage when reports surfaced that the prince of darkness was having an affair with his hairdresser in 2016.

Ozzy, whose album sales exceed 100 million with Black Sabbath and as a solo artist, said: “I made a huge mistake.

“Without Sharon I am nothing. I love her. I can honestly say I’ve never loved anyone other than my wife.”
