Paddy and Christine McGuinness announce their separation

Paddy McGuinness and his wife Christine announced their separation after 11 years.

The couple, who married in 2011 revealed that they decided to split “a while ago” but are still living with their three children.

The Top Gear presenter and former member of The Real Housewives Of Cheshire said in a joint statement posted on Instagram: “We didn’t plan to share this publicly until we were ready but but After the lack of privacy surrounding our personal lives, we feel left out with no choice but to clarify.

“Some time ago we made the difficult decision to separate but our main focus has always been to continue to love and support our children.

“This has not been an easy decision to make but we are moving forward as the best parents we can to our three beautiful children.

“We will always be a loving family, we still have a great relationship and still live happily in the family home together.

“We hope this will now draw a line under any unwanted and unnecessary intrusion into our private lives. Although we work in the public eye, we would like to ask if you could respect our wishes for privacy in this regard. “

The couple signed the message: “Love is full of loads. Paddy & Christine. “

In December, the couple illuminated the lives of someone with autism in the touching BBC documentary, Our Family And Autism.

The couple are parents to Felicity, and twins Leo and Penelope, all three of whom have autism.

Christine later received a diagnosis at the age of 33, describing it as “a huge relief” that helped her understand “why I am”.
