Pádraig Fitzgerald blasted the game 4-2 as the 14-man Waterford finished in the last four at Fraher Field in Dungarvan last night.

The Déise was reduced to 14 in the 16th minute when Jack O Floinn caught Ronan Walsh on the head with a loose swing, but it did little to stop the host, who were 1-13, 0-4 at half-time.

Limerick 1-25 corks 1-19

Limerick sealed a home semi-final against Waterford with a six-point win, thanks in part to Aidan O’Connor’s 9-0 loss at Páirc Uí Rinn.
Cork started well but a seven-point burst gave the contract men the lead they wouldn’t lose.

They were up 16-10 at half-time and maintained control after the break despite a late Jack Cahalane for Cork.
