Paloma Faith returns to Brighton Pride on the final day of the festival

THOUSANDS of people cheered and enjoyed the sunshine as Paloma Faith led the second and final day of Brighton Pride Festival.

The award-winning singer-songwriter returned to the Preston Park event, having performed in 2013, and sang some of her biggest hits to a sold-out crowd.

ABBA tribute act Björn Again, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and lead singer of the Scissor Sisters also took to the main stage at We Are Fabulso Festival, while dozens of other acts performed at several other tents in the park.

The acts ended a weekend of Pride celebrations, which this year marked their 30th anniversary in Brighton and Hove.

Hundreds of thousands of people flocked to the city streets on Saturday for the community pride parade, which brought together community organizations and businesses from across Brighton and Hove, with Christina Aguilera performing a dazzling set on the first night of the festival.

Paul Kemp, Chief Executive of Brighton and Hove Pride said: “It has been a spectacular weekend for our city and the LGBTQ+ community as we celebrate our 30th year of campaigning while making a commitment to continue the fight until we are free, to live and to love equally. ” Paloma Faith returns to Brighton Pride on the final day of the festival
