Launching on June 22, the Paramount+ streaming service will officially launch in the UK with original shows, including the latest Star Trek series Strange New Worlds and a small-screen adaptation of The Man Who Fell to Earth.

Brits will be able to stream films and franchises under the Paramount umbrella, including Quentin Tarantino’s sci-fi epic Interstellar and Pulp Fiction, as well as TV staples like South Park by Comedy Central.

Paramount has confirmed that the UK’s newest streaming service will cost the same as Netflix’s basic plan, starting at £6.99 per month for the streaming platform.

In June 2022, viewers will be able to follow content via their website or by connecting to an Apple, Amazon, Google device or a smart TV – with Sky Cinema customers having access to this platform at no extra charge.

The company says the service will also include access to a broader library of Star Trek content, as well as that of South Park, the MTV Shores series and family-friendly content like SpongeBob SquarePants, Paw Patrol and Rugrats.
