Tyson Fury has claimed he will walk away from boxing following his dramatic sixth-round knockout of rival Dillian Whyte at Wembley Stadium on Saturday.

The 33-year-old Gypsy King confirmed he would be retiring from the sport after another epic performance – this time in front of a sold-out crowd of 94,000 in London.

And after once again serenading his wife Paris in the ring, he announced he would be true to his word and retire after the win, meaning he went unbeaten throughout his professional career.

He told BT Sport: “I promised my lovely wife Paris that it would be after the third fight with Deontay Wilder and I meant it.

“Then I was offered to fight at Wembley and I felt like I owe it to the fans, every person in the UK, to come out here and fight. It’s all settled now, I must be a man of my word.

“I think this is it, it could be the closing curtain for The Gypsy King and what a way to go out!”

Paris, who tied the knot with her childhood sweetheart in 2008, appeared happy with his decision as she posed backstage with Molly-Mae Hague, who is dating Tyson’s brother Tommy Fury, 22.

Posting the snap from the dressing room, the two blonde beauties looked stunning. Paris donned a white suit with ruffled cuffs and a crop top.

Former Love Island star Molly-Mae, 22, wore an elegant off-the-shoulder black dress with a high leg slit.

Paris captioned the snap: “Next leading lady there @mollymae with her @tommyfury winning tonight. A beauty inside and out.”

Sharing the image on her own Instagram story, the PrettyLittle Thing creative director wrote, “My leading lady always.”

Molly-Mae, who met Beau Tommy on the reality TV series in 2019, was ringside to watch as he defeated tough opponent Daniel Bocianski in six rounds on Tyson’s undercard.

His win came after nearly eight months out of the ring and Molly-Mae revealed her boyfriend’s lucky charm was back by his side.

Love Island fans will recall that the model slept with a baby blue stuffed elephant every night while she was at the mansion.

And ever since they left the Mallorcan home together, Tommy has had a picture of Ellie Bellie somewhere on his clothes whenever he’s had a fight.

This time he had the elephant image sewn onto his boxing coat and Molly-Mae was delighted to share it with her 6.3million followers alongside the always caption.

Following his win, Molly-Mae told BT Sport Box Office: “We can relax and be a couple again. I haven’t seen him for two months.”

And she revealed that she tries not to watch the action in the ring, keeping her eyes on the big screen instead.

She continued, “I’m not looking at him, I’m looking at the screen. That’s my way of dealing with it. Seeing him up close feels a lot harder, so I watch him on screen.

“I have nail marks in my arm where I dug myself. It’s just awful. I honestly wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy.”
