Parking attendant tickets long line of cars on the same street after each driver made the same mistake – don’t do it too

A VIDEO on social media captured the shocking moment when six parking tickets were issued to cars on the same street.
The video shows why drivers need to do the right checks before assuming parking is free.
Footage was uploaded to TikTok by user @pezizlove54 and shows a line of cars parked along a single yellow line.
The video has the caption: “Apparently they all assumed Boxing Day was a bank holiday. #onlyinUK.”

There are seven cars in total, but one appears to have avoided a ticket as it has a blue disabled badge on its dashboard.
Despite the video’s description, Boxing Day is a public holiday in the UK.
However, drivers must still check with their authorities for local parking restrictions, particularly when parking in a single yellow parking lot.
It’s Boxing Day doesn’t automatically mean you can park where you want, as these six drivers found out.
People seemed enlightened in the comments and had little sympathy for the drivers.
One said: “It’s a bank holiday but bank holiday doesn’t mean free parking.
“Depends on what the conditions are in the area.”
Another said: “It is a public holiday but parking restrictions do not recognize a public holiday unless otherwise noted.”
While a third said: “It was a public holiday but single yellows have the same rules even on a public holiday.”
