Part of the A259 was closed after a car crashed into a wall.

The accident happened around 10am this morning on the west side of the A259 Sutton Park Road in Seaford.

The Ford Mondeo’s front left side was badly damaged after it crashed into the wall of Sussex Court.

Another vehicle is said to have been damaged.

Two people were treated at the scene by rescue workers, but the extent of their injuries is unknown.

A Sussex Police spokesman said they received a report at 10.11am of a “two vehicle collision on Sutton Park Road”.

He said: “Police were at the scene for traffic management and recovery of both vehicles was arranged.

Two fire engines from Seaford and Newhaven were present.

A spokeswoman for East Sussex Fire and Rescue Services said: “We were called at 10.17am to attend a two vehicle RTC.

“Two people have been placed in the care of Secamb.

“We left the scene at 11:13 a.m.”

A cyclist was taken to hospital yesterday after a crash involving a car near Blatchington Pond in Seaford.
