Boris Johnson had specifically denied that the party pictured – for outgoing communications chief Lee Cain – took place on November 13, 2020. However, photos show him raising a glass of wine

Boris Johnson raises a glass of wine in front of a table strewn with empty bottles in scathing photos and is portrayed as a liar who deliberately misled Parliament.
He was already the first prime minister in history to be fined for another lockdown violation at a birthday party as a lawbreaker.
Now Tory MPs become his accomplices when they fail to sack a villain who treats them and the country with grotesque contempt.
Johnson had specifically denied that the party pictured – for outgoing communications chief Lee Cain – took place on November 13, 2020.
Labor’s Catherine West had asked in the House of Commons: ‘Can the Prime Minister tell the House of Representatives if there was a party at Downing Street on November 13?’ Johnson lied: ‘No, but I’m sure whatever happened that Guidance… and the rules were followed at all times.”
There was a party and the rules don’t seem to have been followed.
Before Sue Gray’s report, Met police must explain why Johnson was not fined again.
Johnson built a career on lies and needs to be fired for not telling the truth. Once again.
Act on dogs
How many more people have to die before the government takes action against dangerous dogs?
A 62-year-old man has become the latest victim while the animal was euthanized by a veterinarian at a property in Wrexham, North Wales, where locals say American Bullies were bred.
Fans of the breed insist they make good companions, but another life lost requires a thorough investigation and review of the law.
Responsible pet owners have nothing to fear from a crackdown on killer dogs.
Get well soon
We wish everyone who has been diagnosed with monkeypox, a virus usually confined to West and Central Africa, a speedy recovery.
But this is not a Covid pandemic so keep calm and carry on unless you have been in close contact with a victim – in which case guidance says to isolate for three weeks.
