Path of Exile update focuses on bug fixes and polishing the controller support beta

blank

way of exileThe latest update from was primarily focused on fixes and improvements that include quality of life improvements and a variety of controller support beta changes.

Adding controller support is something that many studios are incorporating into their current games, and it’s always good to have more options for access and control. Some of the changes this time around make controller support smoother, from focusing the chat box when you open it when set to controller input, to adjusting the pan speed of some panels to make them easier to use, and that easily change leagues with the left stick. There’s also a new auto-toggle option that allows you to automatically switch between input modes while in the character selector or main menu. Other optimizations to chatting in controller input mode now default chat to your last shot instead of too local, and whisper, party, and global chat shortcuts also work.

Some of the other issues addressed concern things not showing up where they should be, like the passive skill tree not honoring Omniscience when displaying the attribute requirements while you were in controller input mode. Another bug prevented players from teleporting to a party member with a controller, but that should work now. The controller support beta has also been added to the Epic client.

Other fixes in the update included bugs affecting things like the stash tab not saving properly when you dragged folders around to organize them. The jewel chest tab can also now be sorted by jewel tier and then alphabetically if you sort by jewel tier. A few passive skills that weren’t being used properly, including Rampant Growth and Word of the Exarch, have also been patched.
