Paul Brand Becomes New Host Of ITV’s Tonight

Paul Brand will become the new host of ITV Tonight’s current affairs show from April.
rand is currently Editor of ITV News UK and will hold the role as well as take on the role of main presenter of the weekly news program from April 2022.
He will replace Julie Etchingham of ITV News At Ten on Tonight, who decided to step down at the start of the year to focus entirely on News At Ten and other projects.
There had previously been speculation that Brand could replace Laura Kuenssberg as the BBC’s political editor after she announced her departure from the role in December 2021.
Brand, whose recent exclusives include a video showing Downing Street employees laughing about a Christmas party during the lockdown, also plans to take on further unannounced presenting roles.

Brand said: “To be featured on a program that has previously featured two giants in the radio industry – Julie Etchingham and Sir Trevor McDonald – is a huge honor.
Having previously reported for Tonight, I have had the pleasure of working with many of the huge talent pools behind Britain’s most watched weekly news programme.
“I am delighted to be making this weekly commitment, along with my role as UK Editor for ITV News.
“At a time when the world often feels as though it is in a state of perpetual crisis, Tonight will continue to play an important role in uncovering and interpreting events around us.”
