Paul Dano has issued a disclaimer to fans who want to imitate his “homegrown” Riddler costume, the one he wore for the upcoming blockbuster The Batman.
the actor, who plays the mysterious enemy of the crusaders, revealed that his attempt to create the character’s terrifying appearance caused his brain to “stretching up very quickly” after just one day film.
Matt Reeves’ new film takes on classic DC stars Robert Pattinson as the hero of the same name and Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman.
Explaining his outfit choices on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Dano said he wanted to make sure to stay true to the “meticulous” nature of his character.
“It’s more of a homegrown outfit,” he said.
“I wanted the details covered, he was very meticulous…so I had to cover myself in a wrap.”
“I wrapped myself in a wrap that I thought looked scary because of the light and I thought I wouldn’t shed my hair at the crime scene.
“The first day of filming was about an hour and I started seeing white, and color, and my brain got stressed… and that was the first day, so you don’t want to be an actor like, ‘Me. had a bit of a headache’.

“You suck it up (but) you can’t sweat it, that’s the problem, it goes back inside you.
He continued: “I went through my first day without telling anyone and I went home and I was probably ‘brain swelling’ on Googling in my bed.
“The next day we started poking some holes in the wrapper, my head could breathe, things were a little better.
Addressing the audience directly, he said: “I might as well take this opportunity to issue a disclaimer to any Halloween costumers or cosplayers out there: maybe drop out. through the lining”.
Dano attended the all-star premiere of The Batman in London last week, along with his co-stars.
The film will open in UK cinemas on March 4.
