Scammers are posing as Bake Off stars Paul Hollywood to trick his dear female fans by presenting promising unique photos.

Scammers are setting up fake profiles of GBBO hunk, 55, and other top chefs like Gordon Ramsay to try to trick followers.

The Bake Off star was forced to issue a warning to fans after discovering the creepy situation.

Paul warned fans: “I’ve heard there are impostors again. Don’t hang around with these impostors. Be careful.”

Following his claims, a Paul fan in the US admitted to sending £4,700 for a fake Gordon profile thinking it was the real thing.

And this is not the first time the silver fox has been impersonated.

Back in 2020, Paul revealed that scammers were using his image to shamelessly scam women on online dating sites.

Paul has received countless tips flooding his inbox about his photos being used to trick fans into cashing in.

The fishing went so far that the people behind the computer screens even pretended to be part of his personal entourage if the Paul impersonation was unsuccessful.

“I don’t have my own account.. please be careful, watch GBBO, and Great British Bake off scammers too, look for the green tick ALWAYS.”

Fans of the Bake Off star have been duped by scammers

Following his statement, fans who were victims of the shameless scam flocked to the comments to share their experiences.

One fan wrote: “I got one from a guy posing as your manager. I didn’t reply.”

Another wrote: “I got it on twitter saying I wanted to see you, I emailed you years ago about it, the person who did it became really annoyed x.”

While another wrote: “I got a lot of followers with your photos. I reported and blocked immediately”.
