The three-part series takes Hollywood off the beaten path from the capital, Mexico City, to Tijuana and Cancun (PA).

In the first episode, the Bake Off judge is led by a guide named The Taco Hunter, who explores the city to try the simple but delicious Taco al Pastor.

The trip also includes a visit to the Central de Abasto market, where he’ll sample a variety of unusual fruits and other local delicacies, including grilled cockroaches, crocodile tacos, and baked tarantula.

Hollywood will also take a trip to the infamous US-Mexico border wall in Tijuana for a food tour of Sonoran, Sinaloan, Jaliscan and Guadalajaran restaurants.

He then goes to a cactus restaurant to see how the prickly plant is transformed into a delicious dish.

In Cancun, Hollywood is presented with a six-course banquet of ancient Mayan-inspired cuisine and spends a lavish evening of beer tasting at a cantina while being schooled on all things tequila and mezcal.

He will also complete a chili-themed restaurant challenge before being introduced to the ultimate Mexican hangover cure.
