Paul McCartney appears to have backed Johnny Depp as the actor awaits a verdict from his costly lawsuit against Amber Heard.

The veteran musician, 79, performed on stage at Camping World Stadium in Orlando over the weekend as part of his Got Back tour and played a clip of Depp in the video for his song My Valentine.

TMZ reported that Depp’s image was projected onto the big screen next to the stage while McCartney performed his hit.

While it’s unclear if other previous concerts played the song and video, it’s been confirmed that the former Beatles member didn’t play it on his Freshen Up Tour a few years ago, prompting many who believes the timing has a purpose.

Attendees are said to have cheered for Depp’s appearance, while McCartney did not elaborate.

Other online users began to speculate about whether McCartney had used the clip as a widely publicized incident that was similar to the singer’s woeful divorce from Heather Mills.
