Paul O’Grady broke his silence after months of absence from radio with a sweet post.

The radio host recently returned to his Radio 2 show last week after being replaced by Rob Beckett for three months.

He recently visited the Chelsea Flower Show and posted a beautiful photo of himself standing in front of a beautiful array of flowers.

“No, I don’t have a flower booth, I’m at the Chelsea Flower Show,” the announcer wrote.

“It looks like I’ve done something on this photo but I can assure you I haven’t. I’m constantly asked by the press if I like gardening but I have to clean up and excess. Realize that if I go to the garden center the plants will wilt out of fear in case I buy them.

“Nevertheless, great day, connected with some of my favorite people and unbelievable beautiful garden designs and prettiest flowers that could only be grown by a magician.”

Fans are delighted with his recent return and have taken to the comments section to share their excitement.

“Your awesome! So glad you’re back on the radio!” One user happily said while another added: “Glad you’re back on the radio.”

“You look gorgeous,” said one, while another posted: “You are a super man, you make me laugh, would love to come to the Chelsea flower show.”

Back in February, BBC Radio 2 listeners were thrilled to hear that Paul had taken off after 23 years.

He has hosted his Paul O’Grady on Wireless since 2009 with fans watching every Sunday to be warmed by his lighthearted humor and celebrity anecdotes. from 5-7 pm.

It was announced a few months ago that he would be absent for several months and that his show would only run for 13 weeks per season.

At the time, Paul released a statement saying: “This is my last Radio2 Sunday show in quite a while, our listenership has skyrocketed so thank you very much. to all who listened.

“While I am on the subject, I also want to thank my producer (sounds epic) Malcolm Prince, who is one of the best in the business and has never been beaten up. cracked during our 14 years of broadcasting.

“Now there is a new regime, I do 13 weeks and then take 13 off, it has nothing to do with me because it is a management decision.

“So all is well and as long as I’m not in India or Borneo, travel restrictions permitting, I’ll be back for a while in May. Just relax.”
