MANCHESTER UNITED has offered Paul Pogba a £500,000-a-week deal, SunSport has revealed.
In another development, executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has finally stepped aside after the collapse of the Super League.
Woodward’s departure will take effect February 1 when Richard Arnold will take over as CEO.
Meanwhile, West Ham have made a hefty £100m bid for Declan Rice but the Red Devils are confident of luring him to the North West.
And United are determined to sign Wolves star Ruben Neves this month, SunSport can also exclusively reveal.
The Portuguese, 24, has two years left on his current contract at Molineux – but has spoken of his desire to play in the Champions League.

Ralf Rangnick is reportedly not going to take up a permanent job at Man Utd this summer.
The Star claim Brendan Rodgers, Mauricio Pochettino and Erik ten Hag are three names on United’s shortlist.
That means Rangnick will move into a behind-the-scenes advisory role once his interim position ends later this year.

France’s World Cup winner Pogba is wanted by Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid, while former club Juventus have also expressed an interest.
SunSport understands that he has yet to decide whether he will put pen to paper under the new conditions.
United sources fear he will leave the club, but the new contract is around £100,000 more than Pogba is expected to get across Europe.
It would make him the highest-paid player in Premier League history, with a base salary of around £400,000 a week before additions.

Axel Tuanzebe is said to have completed his medical before moving to Napoli on loan.
Fabrizio Romano insists the Italian will pay £500,000 to bring the Man Utd defender to the summer.
