A COMMUNITY football club will not allow some children into home games without an adult due to recent behavior at games.
Peacehaven and Telscombe FC at Piddinghoe Avenue, Peacehaven, made the announcement following Tuesday night’s home win against Saltdean United.
The club only allows under-18s with a youth membership card or children accompanied by an adult to its home games.
The club confirmed that they have not reported anything to the police and want to prevent the problems from escalating.
Sue Norwood, Chair, said: “Due to recent activity at our evening games, we must deeply regret having to change our approach to audiences under the age of 18.
“From September 21, every child without a youth membership card must be accompanied by an adult to all evening games.
“The adult needs to know where these children are and without their responsible adult there will be no access to the clubhouse.
“We will continue to monitor this as as a community club we want to be there for our youth community but cannot afford for games to be cancelled.”
The club confirmed that the youngsters in question are in no way affiliated with the football club and it is believed they will not be coming to see the team.
