A pensioner has miraculously survived after a four-ton RV suddenly collapsed on his head.

Keith Tyler, 72, has shared how he was securing the wheels under the vehicle when it suddenly fell off the jack on top of him, crushing his skull.

His wife, Tina, watched in horror as her husband somehow managed to pull himself out of the vehicle before collapsing in a pool of blood in front of his wife.

The nightmare scenario resulted in Keith suffering catastrophic injuries, including fractured skull and jaw, a blood clot, a blood-filled lung and a torn ear.

His wounds were so severe that a doctor warned Tina, “He won’t make it.”

However, against all odds, “Miracle Man” Keith was released from the hospital in February.

He is now on the mend and says: “I feel pretty good to be honest considering I had a four ton camper van on my head. I don’t remember anything after it happened. “

Tina, 70, added: “I saw it fall on him. I did not know, what I should do. I turned around, called for help and called 999. Keith was in a pool of blood.

“He kind of got out from under the van and pushed himself out, probably with the adrenaline. His nose was bleeding and he was kind of conscious.

“He got up and stepped forward and then collapsed next to the car.

There was blood everywhere. It was very traumatic.”

Paramedics arrived at the couple’s home in Gosport, Hampshire, on October 30 last year as Keith was being taken to Southampton General Hospital, Hampshire.

Speaking of Keith’s incredible recovery, Tina said: “Doctors said it will take him a year or two to reach optimal health, although he won’t be what he was before. He’s amazing, he’s a miracle man.”
