People adore a holiday hack that turns your Christmas tree into a car cleaner for pennies

Having a real Christmas tree in your home during the holiday season is great, but getting rid of it afterwards can be difficult.

Some municipalities will pick them up for you for free, or your local dump is another good choice if not.

But before you get rid of it, save some of your Christmas tree because it can be turned into an awesome car cleaner at home.

In a video uploaded by on TikTok @creativeexplainedexplains host Armen Adamyan that all you need is a Christmas tree and white vinegar.

He simply cuts some twigs from a Christmas tree and then dices them before placing them in an airtight jar.

Then you close the jar and let the spruce soak in the vinegar for about three weeks.

It’s ready when the liquid has turned a golden brown color.

Strain the fir and pour the infused vinegar into an empty spray bottle.

Adamjan says it’s great for whole house use like kitchen surfaces, floors and toilets as it has disinfecting properties.

But you can also use this on the hard plastic parts of your car’s interior, like the steering wheel or the top of the dashboard.

Not only does it kill germs and make your interior look cleaner, but it also leaves a festive smell.

You can also use this to clean your car’s glass, but it’s not recommended for use on fabric due to vinegar’s acidity.
