People are just noticing a simple iPhone hack that fixes one of its biggest problems

APPLE has gifted screen-addicted iPhone users with a feature that can help reduce the time they spend on TikTok and Facebook.
It’s not just social media, however. This function can be used in any app.
With Apple’s Screen Time feature, iPhone users can not only track how long they spend on each app.
But it also allows users to set app usage limits.
These app limits essentially lock users out of the app when the timer runs out.
It gives users a chance to escape a dreaded “doom scroll” – when users get stuck scrolling through social media.
To set it up, open settings > screen time > app limits > add border.
The feature also allows customization on the days when the “soft lock” is activated.
This means that tech-savvy users can set the time limits to only be in action on weekdays to allow for more downtime on the weekends.
But remember, it’s called a “soft lock” for a reason.
When the time limit expires, iPhone notifies users.
And it will also give users the all-too-tempting option of hitting the Ignore Limit option.
Tapping it gives screen-addicted users the option to “One minute left,” “Remind me in 15 minutes,” or “Ignore today’s limit.”
The feature does not act as a hard and fast “locking” method.
Instead, it relies on gentle persuasion and lets users confront how long they’ve spent on an app – be it 20 minutes or 2 hours.
