YOU may have had an iPhone for years without realizing a simple “sound hack”.
Did you know that you can change the volume at will? Apple phone rings.
Not only that, you can also edit the volume of your morning alarm.
This is especially useful if you are regularly woken up by a headache-triggering noise.
Or maybe you’ve found that your alarm clock just isn’t loud enough.
Whatever the reason, changing the volume on your iPhone is very easy – and it doesn’t use any buttons on the side of the phone.
These volume buttons are used to adjust the volume of whatever you are doing.
This would typically be media playback or the volume of a phone call.
However, you’ll need to dive into the settings to customize your ringtone and alarm volume.
Of course, you can also change it in the Settings app, so it’s possible to adjust ringtone and alarm volume via buttons.
Luckily, you can always readjust this. So if you are not satisfied, just go back to the settings.
Go to Settings > Sound & Haptics, then look for the section called Ringtone and alarm volume.
There you can change the volume.
Note that even if you reduce the bar to its lowest point, your alarm will still sound in the morning.
But it will be as quiet as your iPhone will allow.
You can also change your ringtones, notifications, and more in this menu.
It’s worth listening to the noise catalog – you might find that you’ve been missing out on a great song for years.
