YOUR iPhone Control Center is really powerful – if you know how to use it properly.
There are several hidden tricks that you may have never noticed.
How to open the control center
First of all, you want to know exactly how to get to your control center.
To a iPhone For Face ID face scanning, you do this by swiping down from the top-right corner of the screen.
However, if you’re on an iPhone with a home button, swipe up from the bottom instead.
The iPhone has a built-in countdown timer that is available through the default clock app that comes preinstalled on your device.
It’s super handy for working out and can also remind you when it’s time to take your dinner out of the oven.
Typically, users access the timer by opening the app and navigating to it using the button at the bottom of the display.
But you can use the clock icon in Control Center to quickly set a timer.
Press and hold the clock icon to set a timer between one minute and two hours and tap Start to start it.
It is actually possible to adjust the brightness of the flashlight.
So if you’re really struggling, you can set it to maximum brightness.
Or you can scale it down if you just need a dim light in the dark.
Then just tap and hold the torch icon until a slider appears.
You can drag your finger up or down to change the brightness level.
Control Center can do a lot more if you customize it properly.
Go to Settings > Control Center – it’s right under General.
From there you can toggle many features on or off.
For example, you can access the iPhone’s built-in screen recording feature.
They can have a magnifying glass function or a quick access music recognition tool.
There is a button to turn on the power saving mode.
And you can even quickly turn on Guided Access so you can show someone something on your iPhone without letting them access other content.
You can quickly create voice notes, turn on the stopwatch, or toggle dark mode on and off.
Keep it locked
Control Center can be accessed from your lock screen, which isn’t always ideal.
It doesn’t give too much away, but does show things like the music you’re listening to – and any other options you might have added.
Not only that, it allows people to play around, snap photos with your camera, or turn off things like Bluetooth.
But a simple toggle means no one can access Control Center while it’s locked.
All you have to do is walk settings and find Face ID and Passcode.
Enter your passcode to continue.
Scroll down until you find the list titled “Allow access when locked”.
And switch control center out.
