A TV genius has unveiled a secret Sky TV code that you can enter to unlock a special feature.
It’s called the “0 0 1” code and it has a very useful function.
Even long-time Sky viewers who have owned a box for years may have missed it here.
It’s actually a quick trick to delete all your recordings at once.
One of Sky Q’s best features is its ability to save content.
But if you’ve downloaded too much, it can become unwieldy – and clog up your storage.

First, press the Home button on your Sky Q remote.
Next, scroll down to Settings, but Not click it
Then press “0 0 1” on your remote, followed by Select (that’s the middle button).
Now go down to Reset and then Reset hard drive.
All your apps and recordings on Sky Q will be completely erased.
It is possible to restore your Buy & Keep purchases at Sky.com/restore.
You should only do this if you are happy to erase and restart your machine.
In some people, it could cause more headaches.
Of course, that’s not the only way to quickly delete content.
Another Sky TV trick allows you to delete entire series at once.
To delete episodes individually, press the Sky button on top of your Sky remote to access your recordings.
Scroll to and select the recording you want to remove. Then scroll over and select Delete.
To delete all recordings from a TV show, scroll down to Sort by and then select AZ.
Scroll down to the TV show you want to remove and swipe right. Select Delete All and then Confirm.

There are several fast forward options.
For example, on a Sky Q Touch remote, you can swipe up then right to skip forward.
However, the best method is to simply use voice control.
For example, you could say “Skip three minutes.”
Just make sure you press the microphone button on your remote before you start speaking.

One of the best tricks lets you quickly return to a channel you’ve been watching before.
It’s a common problem: you start looking at something else and then immediately regret it.
Or maybe you just had to tune into a station for a very short time.
Either way, your Sky Q remote has a simple shortcut to solve your problem.
Just swipe right on the touchpad remote control.
This will bring up a screen below where you can select your previous channel.
This means you can quickly switch between two channels with minimal effort.
Turn off your TV
A common complaint is that it’s impossible to turn off your TV with the Sky Q remote.
But that’s just not true – it just takes a bit of know-how.
It’s true that pressing the Sky Q remote button turns off your Sky box.
However, you can also turn off your TV with a simple tweak.
Instead of a quick press, press and hold the power button on the Sky Q remote for a few seconds.
This will turn off your Sky Q box and also put the TV on standby.
