People are just realizing a hidden iPhone secret that you should use all the time

EVERY iPhone owner worth their salt should know how to take proper screenshots — but not everyone does.

There are many hidden screenshot features that are hidden that you might never have noticed.

Once you master them, you’ll be able to take much better screenshots on iPhone — and two involve just tapping the thumbnail to unlock a hidden menu.

Here are the iPhone hacks you need to know…

There is a way to add a magnifying glass to part of a screenshot, which zooms in on important information.

And you can even hide the rest of the screenshot to really highlight the important part.

Take a screenshot first, then tap the thumbnail in the corner.

Once you are in the editing screen, press the plus icon in the bottom right corner.

Then select magnifying glass from the list and you can place a magnifying glass over part of the image.

With the green dot you can increase or decrease the magnification.

And with the black dot you can increase or decrease the circle.

Now tap the plus icon again, select opacity and set it to the maximum level.

This will cover most of the background, making the enlarged element stand out even more.

You don’t have to go for maximum opacity if you prefer a soft fade.

Tip It!

You can also make it a little easier for yourself to take regular screenshots.

It’s called Back Tap and it allows you to take screenshots just by tapping the back of your handset.

To enable the feature, make sure you have updated to iOS 14 or later. To do this, go to Settings > General > Software update.

Then go to your settings app.

Scroll down and tap Accessibility, then tap Touch.

Then scroll down to “Back Tap”.

You have the choice to enable “Double Tap” or “Triple Tap”.

Regardless of what you choose, you have the same options.

Click here to see what features you can now control with a double or triple tap on the back of your phone.

These include taking screenshots, increasing or decreasing the volume, zooming in, scrolling, and more.

For example, if you want to use a double tap to take screenshots, click on the “Double Tap” option and then check “Screenshot”.

Now you should be able to take a screenshot simply by double tapping the back of your phone.

Keep in mind that this feature may not work if you have a thick phone case.

One more thing

And there’s one more trick you need to know.

Apple lets you create full-page screenshots as PDFs.

This can be a web page, document or email that is longer than the length of your iPhone screen.

Take a screenshot, go into Notepad, then tap Full Page at the top.

You can then save the screenshot by tapping Done, selecting Save PDF to Files, choosing a save location, and pressing Save.

Alternatively, you can share the screenshot by tapping the share icon (a square with an arrow), selecting a sharing option (like Messages or AirDrop), and then sending the PDF.
