People are just realizing that the iPhone has a game-changing voicemail hack

Listening to voicemails can be a hassle, but luckily there’s another way.
Not everyone knows that your iPhone can actually transcribe the message for you, so you don’t have to listen to the audio at all.
It has been available for a while but has limitations.
For example, it’s only available in certain countries like the UK and US, and also only works with English.
And Apple warns that transcription also depends on the quality of the recording.
If you’re interested in trying it out, just follow these instructions.

How to View Voicemail Transcriptions on iPhone
Transcription voicemails work on iPhones running iOS 10 or later, so most iPhones should be able to use them.
If your device can transcribe a voice message, it should appear automatically with every message you receive.
These are all kept in the usual place, the Voicemail tab under the main phone app.

Go there and you may get the message “Voicemail is being transcribed…” if you haven’t already.
After a while, the transcription text should appear.

It’s possible that there are some spaces for bits that the system couldn’t recognize.
Give it a try the next time you get a voicemail and see if it saves you some time.
