Peter Andre will host Miss World later today, with the international beauty pageant celebrating its 70th anniversary after it was postponed last year due to the Covid pandemic.

Peter Andre arrived in Puerto Rico ahead of the international beauty pageant Miss World.
The father-of-four went abroad to host a show for his 70th anniversary.
The singer, 49, entered the contest in 2019 and is expected to take up the presenting task again last year – after it was halted in 2020 due to the Covid epidemic.
However, the crowning final did not take place last year due to the pandemic – and it has been postponed until today (March 16) in Puerto Rico.
Andre shared a selfie of himself this afternoon with fans on Instagram to reveal he’s been to the Caribbean island.
Peter didn’t go into detail in the caption of the recent post, instead simply writing: “Puerto Rico. @Missworld.” The singer-songwriter included a red heart in the caption.
His arrival was confirmed by the official Miss World account which shared a video of Peter standing outside the Coca-Cola Music Hall in San Juan – where the event will be held.

Introducing himself in the clip, he said: “Hi guys. I’m Peter Andre and I’m hosting Miss World. Not only Miss World but the 70th time. [anniversary]. This event is unbelievable. “
Alumnus I’m A Celebrity mentioned the venue behind him and then went on to discuss the atmosphere in the area before the show. “The vibe is incredible,” he said.
The Miss World Website says Andre will be at the event alongside singer and actor Fernando Allende, 69. He is understood to be a big star in Latin America.
Miss World is said to be the oldest international beauty pageant. Finally last year is set to mark its 70th anniversary, with it being established in 1951.
Organizers are now celebrating at the event later today, after the final was postponed last year – amid ongoing concerns about Covid-19.
It is set to feature semifinalists in the competition, with the eventual winner to be crowned by defending champion Toni-Ann Singh, who will represent Jamaica in 2019.
Miss World 1975 winner Wilnelia Merced Forsyth, 64, who is married to the late entertainer Sir Bruce Forsyth, will pay a special tribute to the organisers’ legacy.
