Peter Andre has defended ‘damaging’ his son Junior Andre with a £25,000 Audi for his 17th birthday.

The proud father, 49, gifted his son a used Audi A1 for his special day, with both father and son sharing the snap online.

Write in his column for ALRIGHT! magazineThe Mysterious Girl singer wrote: “I could have spoiled him with an Audi A1, which is the one he really wanted, but it’s not new – so it’s not exactly what it is. he wants to!

“I don’t think a new car will be the right example. He’s already started the lessons and I’m sure it won’t be long until he’s on the road.”

Junior turned 17 earlier this month and took to Instagram to share snaps of his new whip as well as the release date of his song, Slide.

“Couldn’t be more grateful right now,” he said at the time. “I’m releasing my debut single ‘SLIDE’ this Friday, June 17th and my dad just got me my dream car.”

Peter couldn’t help but talk about his son in the comments and wrote: “My son. So proud in every way. He deserves it all. So happy he loves his current son.”

The father of four also shared a clip of Junior and Princess – the brother traveling with Katie Price – sitting in the car.

” I think he loves his new car. Happy birthday son. Now you just have to pass your test.@officialjunior_andre@officialprincess_andre“, he captioned the post.

“Thank you very much @beany_man_ipswich_alloys to get the wheel how he likes it in record time. I was so scared, I wouldn’t have prepared everything for him.

“Love you son (not you Beany, I mean junior). Love you too though mate.”

Peter has been very proud in recent weeks after his son hit number one on the charts with his debut single.

Junior released Slide on June 17 and shipped more singles than Harry Styles and Lady Gaga.

He shared iTunes chart snapshots earlier on Friday, when Junior’s track began to climb the chart.

“What a start. Wow son,” wrote Peter.

“Let’s make him number 1! Thanks to everyone who downloaded this for him,” he later added.

Sliding to the top of the charts within hours of being released, marks an incredible achievement for the teen star, who has been teasing his music on TikTok for weeks.
