A petition to ban Katie Price from owning dogs for life has reached 20,000 signatures after she bought a tiny new puppy

An online petition calling for Katie Price to be banned from dog ownership for life gained 20,000 signatures on Tuesday after the star was pictured with a tiny new puppy, Captain.

The petition, which came out last year, has seen a sudden influx of supporters since Captain’s arrival.

The 44-year-old shared a photo of herself holding a newborn puppy on Instagram last week, immediately drawing skepticism.

Followed by comments: “Poor dog, horrible detention!” and “That poor dog was used as an accessory.”

In 2020, Katie’s Alsatian, Sparkle, was hit and killed by a car after it fled her home and ran into the street.

Meanwhile, last year, a caregiver for Katie’s oldest child, Harvey, found another family pet – the French Bulldog, Precious – dead after it got stuck under an armchair.

After Precious’s death petition was launched by a concerned animal lover.

“A puppy has died in the last 24 hours in Katie Price’s care, she bought this puppy for her 13-year-old son 3 weeks ago,” the petition’s harsh words read. head.

Animal rights group PETAmeanwhile has had her say, also saying that the star should stop owning any more pets.

The director of the organization, Elisa Allen, told Sun : “Given her track record of animals, some of them having died in her ‘care’, it would be irresponsible and reckless for Katie to be allowed to purchase another one.

“And any breeder willing to sell to her is clearly putting profits above the welfare of the animals.”
