Phantasy Star Online 2 is getting new high tier Retem content, Geometric Labyrinth Team Challenge in April

The April NGS headline for Fantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis is here and Sega is adding new challenges, High Rank Sectors, the new Geometric Labyrinth Team Challenge. There is a preview of the new region coming in June and plans to celebrate the 10th anniversary PSO2.

Retem gets new high tier sectors with a rank 3 challenge with level 40 enemies with the April 13th update. This sector has a higher chance of Chaos Trials as well as a Megalotix attack.

Also coming this month is the Geometric Maze team quest. This is a 4 player team challenge that you can participate in. Each time you face the geometric maze, things like the spawns and side missions change, making this a dynamic, repeatable PvE feature. There are several areas you can take on with your team and you must reach the last area to clear it and get rewards.

You can assemble a team and take on the maze as many times as you like as long as you’re qualified, but if you do, you’ll have to clear the areas. If you fail the side missions too many times, it’s game over. However, if you win, you will unlock a challenge setting mode. Taking on the maze lets you control the difficulty and crank it up when you want bigger rewards. Rewards you can claim include new special abilities, magazines, and accessories.

Sega also gave a sneak preview of what’s coming in June, which is the all-new snowy Kvaris region. There will be another look at Kvaris in the April 28 headline.

10th Anniversary Events PSO2 will start in July and there will be new campaigns and projects as well as community contributions.
