This morning: Phil apologizes to the disability campaigner for the mistake
Phillip Schofield apologized to a disabled guest on This Morning today after an unsuitable car was accidentally sent to take her to the set.
Barbara Lisicki, an activist who helped change history in the 1990s by tirelessly campaigning for equal rights for people with disabilities, appeared on ITV with Phil and co-host Josie Gibson .
But before they started the interview, Phil had said that she had arrived later than planned.
She appeared on the ITV show to talk about the upcoming BBC series Then Barbara Met Alan, which was inspired by her real-life relationship with Alan Holdsworth.
Phil explained that the car company hadn’t listened to the ITV show’s instructions about Barbara needing a suitable vehicle for transportation.

“Then I found out which car company we were using for this show – and we specifically asked them to provide a car for you to access – but we had to change the order. of the program today because they don’t send a car that you can get in.

Barbara replied, “It’s one of life’s daily ironies.
“It’s a disappointment that all people with disabilities have to go through.
“There’s always a roadblock to keeping on with your plan or living your life.”

Her interview comes after Phil shared a message from Holly Willoughby, who he revealed is still in isolation with Covid.
Opening the show today, he said: “Josie is back! I’ve been texting Holly all weekend and she’s totally fine. She just has an extremely nagging and annoying red line that will does not disappear.
“She’ll sit at home. That drives her crazy.”
