PHILLIP Schofield took a hit with Boris Johnson today when he joked that Sue Gray ‘commented on a few buttons’.
The This Morning presenter was discussing the cancellation of a knob throwing contest, as he couldn’t resist mocking the Prime Minister amid the Sue Gray investigation.
“The world famous knob throwing festival was canceled due to supply issues,” explains Phillip.
Camilla Tominey commented: “The buttons are too big. That could be a problem for the people of Dorset.
“I was wondering if I should wait for comment on this before Sue Gray reports. I think she may need to do an investigation. “
Phil was quick to joke: “She actually commented on some buttons.”
Rochelle quips: “I’m not sure there’s a shortage. That is all I will say”.
The annual Dorset Button Throwing Challenge involves people tossing traditional county cookies across a field.
But event officials in the village of Cattistock, near Dorchestersays it has grown in popularity in recent years, forcing them to cancel.
Sue Gray is a senior civil servant who is currently examining evidence surrounding several gatherings that may have violated coronavirus laws.
