Phillip Scofield shared a message from Holly Willoughby, who he revealed is still in isolation with Covid and is extremely frustrated by the situation.
The 59-year-old joined Josie Gibson on This Morning today as he explained that Holly continued to test positive for the virus and it was “driving her crazy”.
Opening the show today, he said: “Josie is back! I’ve been texting Holly all weekend and she’s totally fine. She just has an extremely nagging and annoying red line that will does not disappear.
“She’ll sit at home. That drives her crazy.”
Holly was forced to miss last week’s Dancing On Ice semi-final and entire This Morning show after testing positive for Covid last Sunday.
It is hoped that Holly will test negative for the virus by the end of the week when the delayed final of the ITV skating show will air.
Only three celebrities – Brendan Cole, Kimberly Wyatt and Regan Gascoigne – remained on the skating show, after Connor Ball and Kye White left the show in a double disqualification.
Holly is not the first absence from the show due to a positive Covid test.
A few weeks ago, skater Vanessa Bauer missed a week of performing with Brendan because she contracted the virus.
Phil also missed a week of presentations because he had Covid, with Stephen Mulhern participating at the time.
“I’m looking forward to returning to host with my good friend Holly this weekend. It’s a big shoe to fill and I wish Phillip a speedy recovery,” he said in a statement. I’m a huge fan of Dancing on Ice and for a single night I had the pleasure of standing by the side of the court watching the action unfold. It was unbelievable!”
