Pictured: A van was ripped open in a collision with a wall in Chichester

A van was destroyed after crashing into a wall in the early hours of the morning.

The van was ripped open by the force of the impact along Selsey Road in Chichester.

Debris littered the roadway, severely damaging the passenger side of the vehicle.

The windshield was hanging out the front of the van while a wheel was ripped out of the van.

A traffic queue formed after the incident and emergency services were at the scene.

Sussex Police have been contacted for comment.
