Piers Morgan’s Twitter account hacked with inappropriate tweets

The hackers took control Morgan’s account in the early hours of Tuesday morning (December 27) after sharing a series of abusive tweets.

Morgan’s account was inundated with a series of abusive tweets aimed at the late Queen along with pop singer Ed Sheeran.

This went hand in hand with sharing links to music on Amazon and making racist comments to celebrities, as well as other unsavory messages.

Before the hacked account was deleted, Morgan followers asked if the channel’s private messages could be leaked, with many asking to share his exchanges with the Duchess of Sussex.

One Twitter user shared that he “wanted to see why Piers hates Megan Markle so much. Go to Megan’s DMs.”

Others also asked to share the channel’s DMs, but the hacker said there was “nothing interesting” and didn’t reveal everything.

The hacking lasted about an hour before Twitter took down the account and tweets after messages emerged saying all tweets on the account were “unavailable.”

Along with all the tweets, the Morgans’ profile pictures and banner were also removed, confirming the end of the hacking run.

Twitter recommends that if users believe an account has been hacked, they should report the account or request a password reset.

Users can also contact the Twitter support team for direct assistance if needed.
