Piers Morgan’s Twitter Account Has Been Recovered After It Was Reportedly Hacked

Piers Morgan’s Twitter account appears to have been restored following reports it was hacked on Tuesday.
Mr., 57-year-old former Good Morning Britain (GMB) presenter who has 8.3 million followers on the social media site, had no profile picture, banner photo or post as of Tuesday morning.
As of Wednesday night, Morgan’s account appears to have been reinstated with his original tweets, profile and banner images and bio.

According to reports, his account shared posts overnight containing misinformation, racial slurs and abusive messages directed at the late Queen and singer Ed Sheeran.
Morgan, who recently joined TalkTV as the host of Uncensored after leaving GMB, has yet to tweet since his account was reinstated and he himself has not confirmed the hack. .
However, on Tuesday, his show’s official account tweeted: “In case you were wondering, @piersmorgan was hacked.
“Is there any chance of bringing him back, @elonmusk?”
He is a regular user of the platform, using it to voice his opinion on topics ranging from Cristiano Ronaldo’s status among the all-time greats to The Duke and Duchess of Sussex and their Netflix series.
Earlier this month, Morgan filed a complaint after the Metropolitan Police said no further action would be taken against a man suspected of sending death threats to Morgan and his family online.
On Twitter, Morgan said there was a “major problem with the way the tech giants operate their safety processes”.
It comes after Education Secretary Gillian Keegan’s account was apparently hacked on Christmas Day.
Her account responded to several tweets with links to websites promoting cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin.
Representatives for Morgan and Twitter have been contacted for comment.
