Made famous by her sister Kate’s marriage to the royal family, Pippa Middleton is married to James Matthews, a former jockey turned hedge fund manager who was born a millionaire.

The loving couple celebrated their 5th wedding anniversary today, May 20, after getting married in 2017 in front of an all-star cast.

The couple have two children together and live in a luxury £17million mansion in London, a six-bedroom spread over five floors in Chelsea.

James was the heir to Scotland’s feudal title Laird of Glen Affric, carrying with him a castle-like castle and a 10,000-acre estate.

He is also the brother of Made in Chelsea star Spencer Matthews.

Continuing to build a business, James did not attend university but instead started working in securities trading at Spear, Leeds & Kellogg, now part of Goldman Sachs.

At the age of 22, James later became a high-class trader.

With such wealth, the couple took possession of their mansion in 2016 and soon began work on a £1.2 million renovation.

Like her parents, who live in a £4.7million manor house, Pippa is said to prefer a private life away from prying cameras.

Unfortunately, this means that glimpses of the couple’s home are very limited, but we do know some important details.

The Chelsea residence has an elevator for quick access to the hotel’s 5 floors, and also has a gym and space for their staff.

There’s an underground cinema and recent development includes separate men’s and women’s changing rooms that link to the master bedroom.

If that weren’t enough, the property has a pre-built nursery for their young children, Grace and Arthur Middleton.

James has a history of investing in real estate. In his early 20s, he bought a Mayfair estate for £1.75m, which he later sold for £1. 12.75 million in 2006.

The house in London is currently worth around £40 million.

American economist David Friedman estimated in 2017 that James is “a billionaire or close to a billionaire” with a lot of money in his pocket.
