A heartless killer who murdered his wife and then dumped her body in a forest wrapped in a duvet and garbage bags has been sentenced to 18 years in prison.
The pizza shop boss, Nezam Salangy, callously sent fake messages from his wife Zobaidah to explain her disappearance.
In reality, the 28-year-old was already dead and Salangy’s two brothers helped him cover his tracks.
A jury found 44-year-old Salangy, of Austin Road, Bromsgrove, guilty of murder on May 3.
He killed his wife, with whom he was eight, at Prego Pizza, the family joint where they used to walk Bromsgrove before he later wrapped her body and buried her in the woods, the six-week trial heard.
Brothers Mohammed Ramin Salangy, 31, and Mohammed Yasin Salangi, 34, who spells his surname differently, lived together in Cardiff.

Mohammed Ramin helped bury the body, the trial said, while Mohammed Yasin knew about the death.
Today Mohammed Ramin was sentenced to six years in prison and Mohammed Yasin to four years.
Former math teacher and mother-of-two, Zobaidah’s body has not been found for more than six months after her disappearance in March 2020.
Police searched the spot where she was buried but did not dig deep enough.
Officials found her body months later, but it was too decomposed to determine a cause of death.
During today’s sentencing hearing, Zobaidah was described by her family as “a kind mother to her children and a responsible wife to her husband.”

“During contact with the family, her sadness and suffering was evident.
“She would say everything is fine and I’ll take care of the kids.”
They added that she loves people of all colours, races and creeds and wants to pursue a career in healthcare.
They added: “Zobaidah studied under the most difficult conditions in Afghanistan and entered college with good grades.
“She had a lot of ambitions for Afghanistan and Britain.
“She was taken very brutally from us and her children.
“We will suffer from this for the rest of our lives.
“This pain, suffering and misery will never go away, but what can ease our pain is when justice is done.
“Justice can bring comfort to all of us.”
