Platinum Games’ Hideki Kamiya can’t imagine the end of the Bayonetta series

Platinum Games Vice President Hideki Kamiya doesn’t see the Bayonetta series ever ending.

He said IGN Japan This during a new interview touching on the creator’s post-Bayonetta 3 thoughts, possible spin-off games, and a brand new game codenamed Project GG. Kamiya said he wants to do both games.

“Personally, I can’t imagine the Bayonetta series ever ending,” Kamiya said IGN Japan. “I want to build a Bayonetta 4 and a Bayonetta 5 and intend to present them to the company.”

Kamiya goes further, revealing that the team often “talks internally about how we could do nine of these.” He also said he wants people to believe him when he says: “I’m not going to do anything that will betray the players.”

While these aren’t official announcements, players hoping for a Bayonetta 4, 5, or even Bayonetta 9 seem to be in luck if Kamiya stays with Platinum Games. While you wait for more Bayonetta sequels, read about the upcoming spin-off Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon, then read on game informants Bayonetta 3 in review.
