Pokemon GO adds two new pokemon this week ahead of Power Plant event

POKEMONE GO is on the rise with the addition of new creatures for you to encounter this month.

The Season of Heritage saga continues with next week’s Pokemon GO Powerhouse event and new pokemons arriving.

Play Pokemon Go in the Power Plant event to catch brand new pokemon

The next part in The Story of Season of Heritage requires an Electric pokemon to create the final mechanism on the door at the historic cave.

Hot on the heels of Shock Drive GenesectThe first launch of Tier 5 Raids this week is Helioptile and its evolved form, Heliolisk.

Introduced in Gen VI, Helioptile is an Electric/Normal pokemon.

Helioptile can evolve into Heliolisk with 50 Helioptile Candies and one Sun Stone.

The pokemon will start appearing in the wild from Wednesday, January 19 at 10 a.m. local time.

Power Plant Events

The Power Plant event runs from 10:00 a.m. local time on Wednesday, January 19 to 10:00 a.m. local time on Tuesday, February 1.

As well as Helioptile, the following pokemon will also be available to encounter in the wild:

  • Magnemite
  • Grimer
  • Voltorb
  • Electabuzz
  • Porygon
  • Shark
  • Electrode
  • Jolteon

With the exception of Helioptile, Electrode, and Jolteon, it is possible to encounter Shiny variants of the above pokemon.

The following pokemon will appear in Raid during the Power Plant event:

  • One Star Raid
    • Pikachu
    • Beldum
    • Shinx
    • Quick
    • Klink
  • Three-star raid
    • Scyther
    • Typhlosion
    • Mawile
    • Druddagon
    • Dewgong
    • Piloswine
    • Monferno
    • Druddagon
  • Five-star raid
    • Shock Drive Genesect
    • Regice

The Pokemoln GO . blog post also hinted at a Team Rocket-related side event to kick off the final event in January 2022.
