On Saturday, March 26 at 10 a.m. local time, you can join your fellow Trainers for a tour of Lush Jungle featuring Cottonee. Dual Grass/Fairy-type Pokemon will appear more often in the parks during this time, and you may even encounter a shiny one. Spotlight event ends on Sunday, March 27 at 8 p.m. local time.
The Lush Jungle event will also see Fomantis, Pokemon Crescent, and Lurantis, Pokemon Bloom Sickle debut. Also making his first appearance is the guardian deity of Akala Island, Tapu Lele. The latter will appear in five-star raids.
Because the event is part of the Alola Season, a second Special Research story, Akala Island, will be available at the beginning of the event. There will also be a Time Study that focuses on catching Grass-type Pokemon and exploring your area during the event. During this time, the following Pokemon will appear more frequently in the wild: Metapod, Paras, Exeggcute, Hoothoot, Sudowoodo, Fomantis, and Ferroseed. There will also be shiny versions coming to the aforementioned, save for Metapod and Formantis. You might even come across a shiny Pinsir if you’re lucky.
With raids, you can expect the following Pokemon in a One-Star raid: Bellsprout, Tangela, Sewaddle, and Cottonee. Three Star raids will feature Butterfree, Vileplume, Parasect, and Exeggutor. Tapu Lele will be the Pokemon in the Five Star raids, and Mega Charizard Y will be the Mega Raid boss.
And finally, completing the Field Research quest will reward you with encounters with the following Pokemon: Caterpie, Exeggcute, Sunkern, Wurmple, Seedot, Cottonee, Ferroseed, and Fomantis. You might even come across a shiny version for a few of them, and if you’re really lucky you’ll come across a Parasect or a shiny version of Paras.
