Where to find Dunsparce in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Dunsparce can be found in most areas of Paldea, but they are a rare spawn making them difficult to find.

However, there is one fairly consistent spot you can find one, on a ledge west of Artazon.

It spawns more frequently here as it is a wild terastalized spawn that is easier to spawn.

Sneak up on him to start the fight. If you encounter him in the overworld, he will burrow underground if you get too close to him.

Dunsparce has a fairly high catch rate, so catching it once you encounter it shouldn’t be too difficult.

How to evolve Dunsparce in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

In order to evolve Dunsparce, you must first get it to level 32.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have the built in XP percentage so they gain experience even if it’s just in your party.

It will gain more experience as it enters battle, but it will still gain some experience when you catch a Pokemon.

Raids also reward you with experience candies, which you can use to quickly level up your Pokémon.

How to learn Hyper Drill in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

At level 32, Dunsparce can learn his signature move, Hyperdrill. This is necessary to develop it.

Hyper Drill is a 100 Power / 100 Accuracy attack that can break through Spot and Protect, making it extremely powerful.

If you missed teaching Hyper Drill, you can still teach it from the Select Moves menu.

Once your Dunsparce knows Hyper Drill, level it up again to allow it to evolve.
